This building sits at NW 49th and 15th Ave NW just to the north of the Ballard Bridge, and helps mark one of the main points of entry to Ballard. The Henry murals have been there a long time, and the building has been for sale for years. The real estate listing identifies it as “The Classic Henry Building in the heart of Ballard.” Three of the seven photos advertising the building feature Henry murals.
I first noticed the paintings had been damaged a few weeks ago, and the real estate signs are down. I guess the dog went to join its human companion, who’d been missing for several years. Who knows about the kids, but it’s odd they left the ice cream.
The main Windermere sign is stashed to the side, along with the remnants of the missing Henry panels. The Windermere listing identifies the property as pending. Here’s hoping the new owner commissions Henry to replace the broken pictures or at least retains the ones that are currently there.
