This particular truck of God — and it’s a beauty — was parked by the large concrete and gravel expanse formerly occupied by the Sunset Bowl. Perhaps its part of the Art on the Fence project or maybe just inspired by it.
I passed by a few days later and there was a matching bus, but I didn’t have my camera with me unfortunately. I’ve not seen either since. I’m hoping the bus will show up sometime in the future. The neighbors are probably hoping it doesn’t.
Still, if God’s truck and bus do return, others could always escape the proselytizing by decamping to one of the other large vacant lots in the neighborhood. Or perhaps this one in nearby Greenwood …
